This gorgeous holiday hair design below is easier to replicate than it looks, and you don’t even need any extra product to create it! Just curl your hair with a large-barrel curling iron or wand, then section out pieces that you want to keep in the front. Starting on one side of you head, take two small strands of hair toward the front and tie them in an over- or underhand knot. Grab a new section of hair and add it to one of your existing strands, then tie another knot.
Tousled Knot Crown Updo
Next, grab a new section of hair form the other side of your knot braid and tie another knot. Continue until you reach the back of your head. Then keep tying knots until you reach the end of the strands of hair. Add a small elastic or rubber band to secure the end, and repeat the process on the opposite side of your head. Finally, take the ends of each side and pin them up with bobby pins at the nape area, then go back and tug at the braid and knots to give the hairdo a messier look.
Bouffant and Braids
Gather a section of hair from the top-center of your head and give it a little back-combing to add some texture and volume. Take a piece of fabric and fold it in half one or two times to make it thicker. Begin wrapping the hair around the fabric like a curler. Continue rolling the hair until you reach the scalp.and pin it in place. Add random braids throughout your hair to add extra character. Complete the look by adding a bow in the back.
Easy Hair Bow
Feminine, youthful and fun, the ultra-feminine bow can also be a creative way to add a dash of dainty to your hair look. This DIY style is so simple to recreate, just take a look at the photo-tutorial. Start wit high ponytail and pull out a small section of hair directly front. Loop your ponytail into a loose bun. Simply split the bun in two, as shown, and arrange each side into the wide loops of a bow. Pull the front section of hair back and across the center of the “bow,” and fasten with hair pins. Complete the look by further straightening and arranging the bow before freezing the style with plenty of hair spray.
