FREE Meals For Kids This Summer From USDA Program

There are a slew of free meal programs for kids when school is in session, but what about when summer is in session? No so much. Luckily, the USDA has a summer program this year where you can text “FOOD” to 877-877 will give you a nearby location where free meals are available for children during the summer or you can just visit the interactive map below. Thanks to fellow reader Michelle for the heads up!

Note: The interactive map may work better, I texted the number and I got locations in Puerto Rico which was a bit far from New York City.

How to get free meals for children:
- Visit the companies website by clicking “Get This Offer (External Website)”
- Hit “Find Sites” on the upper right hand of the map. Then enter your zip code or address to find a location near you. Then click on a location to see the schedule for the free meals.
- You may also text “FOOD” to 877-877 to get locations near you.
