Nike has a great return policy. If you’re unhappy with an item, you can return it within 60 days after purchase. You can even return them after 60 days if they’re unworn and unwashed. You can’t return gift cards, items from a Nike clearance store, or items marked as non-returnable.

This article discusses Nike’s return policy, including the time frame you can return items for a refund and which items are not eligible for a return.

Nike’s Return Policy

Sometimes we purchase items and realize it’s not what we wanted. If you bought something from a Nike store and are unhappy with the purchase, you can request a refund by returning the item within 60 days from the purchase date. Returns are accepted at any Nike store.

If you purchased an item online, you can sign in to your Nike account if you’re a member and start your free return. Alternatively, go to your closest Nike store.

You will only get a refund if the items are unworn and unwashed for you to qualify for a refund. This includes Nike By You personalized sneakers.

You can even return items after the 60 days is up as long as the item is still unworn and unwashed. It’s important to check the tags and labels of the items since some have different warranties or guarantees.

It’s best to have a purchase receipt since this will make the return process easier and faster. However, if you bought an item online, you only need your order number or barcode. If you purchased in-store and lost your receipt, you can still get a refund or in-store credit.

Some items have different time frames. For example, you can only return AppleCare+ and Apple Watch Nike within 14 days of your purchase date. Furthermore, Nike has a two-year warranty on its shoes. If your item has developed a flaw after 30 days, but before two years have elapsed, you may be eligible for a refund.

Items You Can’t Return For A Refund

There are certain items Nike the store won’t refund. The following items are not eligible for a refund:

  • Gift cards.
  • Items purchased from a Nike clearance store.
  • Items marked as non-returnable
  • Gifts. These can only be exchanged, or you can get in-store credit.

Return An Item Via Mail Or In-Store

It is faster and easier to return an item in person than to mail the item. You will receive a refund immediately if you return in-store. Go to your nearest Nike store with your receipt and ask a staff member for a refund. If you purchased the item online, make sure to have your order number to give to one of the staff members.

If you bought an item online or on the Nike App and wish to return it via mail, you need to start a return online. If you’re a Nike member, the return will be free. Log in to your member profile, go to your orders, select “View or Manage,” and click on “Return Item.”

After selecting the item, you wish to return; you need to indicate the reason for returning them. When that’s done, submit your return and choose the method you wish to use. You will receive a UPS QR return code that you need to take when you drop off your item at UPS.

Alternatively, UPS can provide you with a prepaid shipping label which you will have to print. Then, attach this label to your box and arrange a pickup with UPS. You will need to pay the pickup fee, which starts at 6 USD.

If you’re not a Nike Member, you will need to go to your orders and enter the order number and your email. Then, choose the item you want to return. You will receive the return address via email after you submit the return. Take your items to your courier of choice in its original packaging. You will be responsible for the shipping costs.

If you purchase an Apple Watch Nike, you can return it within 14 days of the purchase date or delivery date. To return the watch, do the following:

  • Unpair your watch from your device.
  • If you purchased it online, you can also return it via mail. You will receive a free UPS shipping label if you’re a Nike Member. However, if you’re not a member, you will have to pay the shipping costs.
  • When returning your watch, make sure you put the watch and all the accessories in its original box. The accessories include the Sport Band and the USB adapter.

You can start your return here. If you return your items via mail, you will get refunded via the original payment method. The amount might take up to 10 days to reflect in your account. If you paid with a voucher, it usually reflects one day after.

If You Lost Your Receipt? Can You Still Do A Return?

Don’t worry if you lost your receipt! You can still get a refund. If a staff member scanned your Nike Pass when you checked out, they can look up your order and give you a full refund via the original payment method.

If you’re not a Nike member and your item is unworn and unwashed, you can return them for in-store credit for the current price or an even exchange.
