D.C Library has a great program called Books from Birth; open to all children under the age of 5 who live in Washington, D.C. It mails all registered kids in D.C. a free book every month from birth until they turn 5! This initiative is powered through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

How to get free kids books:
- Visit the company’s website by clicking “Get This Offer (External Website)”
- Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Then enter and validate your address to ensure you are eligible.
- Then enter your details including name, how many preschool children you would like to register, and their dates of birth.
- Hit “Sign Me Up” to register your child for free books monthly and enjoy!
- Please note: Once you have registered, you should receive an email from Imagination Library confirming your approval (email will not come from the DC Public Library).
