1/23/24 Update: It seems this program will be now called the “Bazaarvoice Retail Sampling Community” according to the below email. Sounds like TryItSampling / Influenster (Bazaarvoice) will basically be just the main product testing portal now?
This isn’t a freebie most of us will get, but it’s something to be aware of. There is a program at Walmart where you can get free products to review and keep! Walmart Spark is a lot like Amazon’s Vine program where you get free products to review and keep. And both of them are invite only. How do you get ‘noticed’ enough to get invited? Reviews, reviews, reviews. You need to leave high quality bad and good reviews over a consistent time period. This is a marathon effort to get invited (and costly to get products if you aren’t getting deals). Walmart says it themselves on their webpage: “The more high-quality reviews you write (not necessarily positive ones — we want your honest opinions), the better your chances of being invited to the join the Spark Reviewer program!” – so keep that in mind next time you buy something on Walmart, don’t forget to leave a high quality review! Because if you get into the Spark Program, the benefits are clear: free products and mucho savings.
How to get invited:
- Visit the companies website by clicking “Get This Offer (External Website)”
- The program information has been removed from Walmart’s website as of 2019, but the best you can do is go back to any past purchases on Walmart.com and leave high quality reviews, that’s about all you can do to get invited beyond having a friend invite you to the program. Keep an eye out for any surveys they send you and check “yes” if they ask about being invited to review products if they ask! Otherwise that is about all you can do to get invited.
